As merucury soars, MeT predicts hot & dry weather till May 28

Srinagar, May 23: As the mercury continue to rise in Jammu and Kashmir, the Meteorological department here has predcicted hot amd dry weather conditions in the plains of Jammu as well as Kashmir for the next six days.

As per the MeT, generally dry weather is expected from 23-28th May while the possibility of thundershower activity at isolated places can’t be ruled out.

From 29-31st May, partly to generally cloudy with light rain and thunder is expected at isolated places.

Overall, no significant weather activity till 31st May, the MeT officials said.

The Meteorological department has also issued an advisory, asking the farmers to continue farm operations.

Heat wave over plains of Jammu Division & Kashmir Division likely to continue during next 6 days, the advisory reads, adding that Hot and dry weather over hilly dists. during next 6 days.

Avoid heat exposure & drink lot of fluid and water especially vulnerable people including elderly, infants and childrens, it added.
