Srinagar, Apr 12: The weatherman on Friday predicted another wet spell in Jammu and Kashmir from tomorrow (April 13).

According to the INS, Director Meteorological department, Mukhtar Ahmad said the weather is expected to remain partly to generally cloudy with light rain and snow over higher reaches with thunder at scattered places towards afternoon or evening.

On April 13-14, he said, generally cloudy weather with light to moderate rain and snow over higher reaches is expected at many places with heavy rain, snow, thunder, lightning, hailstorm and gusty winds expected at isolated places.

From April 15-17, he said, partly to generally cloudy weather is expected with light rain in plains and snow over higher reaches at few places.

From April 18-20, partly cloudy weather with light rain or snow is expected at many places.

The weather department official also urged farmers to suspend farm operations and said that there is likelihood of temporary disruption of surface transportation over few higher reaches during April 13-14.

“Travellers & Tourists are advised to plan accordingly,” he said, adding, “Temporary water logging is also expected in few low lying areas.” He said there is also possibility of landslides and mudslides besides shooting stones.
