Intellectuals, other delegations call on LG

Srinagar, Mar 06: A delegation of Intellectuals from various reputed Institutions called on Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Wednesday at Raj Bhawan.

The delegation comprised of Prof. Rekha Saxena, senior Professor University of Delhi; Prof. Ashwani Kumar, Dean, Tata Institute of Social Sciences and Dr. Adrain Haack, Director, Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) India, shared their views on the present development scenario of J&K and congratulated the Lt Governor for the progressive reforms introduced in diverse sectors in the Union Territory.

Representatives of Gujjar Mahasabha, Baramulla headed by its Chairman Choudhary Nazir called on Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha.

The delegation expressed gratitude to the Lt Governor led UT Administration for taking dedicated welfare measures for Gujjar and other tribal communities in Jammu Kashmir.

A delegation of Ex-Servicemen led by Sh Atta Mohammad Wani also called on the Lt Governor.

A public delegation led by Reyaz Ahmad Bhat, Member District Development Council, Devsar-B, Kulgam called on Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha at Raj Bhawan.

Subsequently, members of Civil Society Lolab headed by Abdul Majeed Reshi, called on the Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and conveyed their gratitude to the Lt Governor led UT Administration for promotion of tourism in Lolab area.

Fr Shaiju Chacko, Chairman, Diocesan Education Board also called on the Lt Governor.
