Snowfall: Sgr-Jmu highway remain closed, train service affected, KU postpones exams, interview

Srinagar, Feb 21: The Srinagar-Jammu National Highway continue to remain closed for the vehicular movement on Wednesday while five trains have also been cancelled due to the bad weather conditions.

According to the INS, the fresh precipitation trigerred landslides, mudslides and shooting stones at multiple places along Srinagar-Jammu National Highway, forcing authorities to close it for the vehicular movement as precautionary measure.

However, the highway continued to remain closed today for the third straight day.

Furthermore, five trains have been cancelled so far in Kashmir.

Moreover, Kashmir University has postponed all the examinations scheduled for today and also postponed the interviews for contractual lecturer positions.
