Sgr receives season’s first snowfall

Srinagar, Feb 01: Srinagar experienced the season’s first snowfall on Thursday while the other parts of the Valley continued to witness the whiteout.

The prolonged dry spell has continued for two-month-long period in Srinagar and elsewhere, but the fresh Western Disturbances (WD) has brought relief among the people.

According to INS, the famous spots including Gulmarg and other places received fresh snowfall while Srinagar experienced whiteout for the first time in this winter.

The snowfall has brought the mercury down in Kashmir.

The weatherman has predicted more snowfall till Fenruary 04, 2024 following which the weather would remain dry from Feb 05.
