Anand Jain takes over as IGP Jammu

Jammu, Oct 09: Anand Jain on Monday took over the charge of Inspector General of Police (IGP), Jammu Zone, relieving Mukesh Singh, ADGP Jammu Zone, enable him to take new assignment with the Government of India.

Anand Jain is an IPS officer of 1999 batch of J&K cadre was earlier posted as Director Anti-Corruption Bureau, J&K.

Prior to that he remained posted at various important posts in J&K as well as during deputation which includes as SDPO Ganderbal SP East Srinagar, SSP Baramulla (twice) AIG Provision/Transport) PHQ, SSP Reasi, SSP Rajouri, SSP Jammu, Commandant, IR 15th Bn, UIDAI (Government of India), PHQ, DIG NIA (Government of India) and IGP Headquarters, J&K.

Besides, a warm send-off has also been given to outgoing ADGP Jammu Zone Mukesh Singh by the staff members of ZPHQ in which DIG JSK Range also highlighted the outstanding contribution made by Mukesh Singh-IPS ADGP Jammu during his more than 4 years of posting as Zonal Head.
