8 labourers injured in vibration machine explosion at Larkipora, Anantnag

Anantnag, Sep 27: At least eight labourers were injured after an explosion in vibration machine took place in Larkipora area of Anantnag district.

Officials told KNO that the blast occurred this morning near a local market, causing panic among the residents.

All the injured persons, hailing from Bihar, were rushed to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.

The injured have been identified as Chato Kumar, son of Soria Kumar (18), Param Jeet, son of Jitender (22), Bhawan Kumar, son of Mohan Kumar (21), Fiqan, son of Nanda Lal (17), Jiten, son of Nanda Reshi (21), Titu Kumar, son of Mahir Reshi (23), Matlesh Kumar, son of Ganesh Kumar (19) and Shan Kumar, son of Nanda Reshi (17)—all residents of Bihar.

Meanwhile, police in a post on X, said that there is no terrorist angle observed in the incident while investigation has been started.

“An explosion occurred in the cement mix settling vibration machine, adjacent portable generator and tin can of oil being carried with labourers in a load carrier at Larkipora Anantnag. 8 labourers injured with burn injuries being treated at hospital.
All stable. No terrorist angle observed. Investigation started,” Kashmir Zone Police wrote on X.
