Srinagar: In a thrilling clash in JKPL Season 2 that left cricket enthusiasts on the edge of their seats, Red11 emerged triumphant with a well earned 19-run victory over University of Kashmir. Batting first, Red11 displayed their prowess by amassing a formidable total of 206 runs in their allotted 20 overs, setting the stage for a riveting contest.

Ahmad Banday, the dynamic opener for Red11, exhibited an exceptional display of skill as he blazed through the field, scoring a rapid-fire 60 runs off just 25 balls. His aggressive yet calculated approach set the tone for Red11’s innings, electrifying the atmosphere at the stadium. Muneeb Munaf also made a significant contribution, notching 32 runs and securing a crucial wicket that played a pivotal role in the team’s victory.

Red11’s bowlers showcased their mettle as well, with Meer Faizan leading the charge by claiming 2 wickets and Amir Aziz putting the brakes on University of Kashmir’s chase in the end. The team’s collective effort and strategic execution on the field demonstrated their commitment to victory.

University of Kashmir’s pursuit of the target was anchored by the determined Asim Bashir, who emerged as the lone fighter for his team. Asim’s exceptional performance saw him score an impressive 114 runs off just 54 balls, injecting a surge of excitement into the match. His resilience and skillful strokes kept the audience enthralled until the very end.

Despite Asim’s heroic efforts, University of Kashmir fell short by 19 runs, unable to breach Red11’s fortress of runs and wickets. The gripping encounter showcased the true spirit of sportsmanship, as both teams displayed exceptional talent and determination throughout the match.

The clash between Red11 and University of Kashmir will undoubtedly be remembered as a cricketing spectacle that showcased the essence of competition, skill, and the unyielding spirit of the game.

Second match of the day was played between owners 11 and Srinagar Gymkhana. After winning the toss owners 11 scored 175/5 safaraz scored 62 from 32 with six sixes and Aishan scored 48runs. For Srinagar Gymkhana Umer Farooq picked 2 wickets. Srinagar Gymkhana Chased the target with 7balls to spare with 5 wickets. Tabish Pathan scored 40 from 25balls and Meraan scored 37 from 10 balls with the help of 5 monsters sixes. Meeran was declared man of the match and Tabish Pathan was given game changer of the match. For onwers 11 Riyaz bowled beautifully and picked 4 wickets.

Tomorrow’s fixture Team bird will face Alijana cc and 2nd match will be played between sultan warriors Baramulla and Bhat lions Kupwara.
