BJP puts up mega show at Srinagar’s Lasjan

Srinagar, April 29: Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) today held a massive worker’s convention at Lasjan area of Srinagar, after a gap of 18 year, where thousands of people were present while hundreds including some prominent faces joined the party.

Hundreds of people from Lal Chowk constituency including Zewan, Balhama, Zawoora, Pandrethan, Athawajan, Pantha Chowk, Aloochi Bagh, Sonwar participated in the Lasjan convention. Speaking on the occasion, BJP leader and in-charge Lal Chowk constituency Er Aijaz Hussain said people belonging to cross section of society including prominent faces are joining BJP and embracing it as they feel inspired with Prime Minister Narendera Modiji’s vision and commitment towards all sections of the society. Er Aijaz said that people have understood that BJP was the only party that can serve people irrespective of caste, colour and creed. He welcomed new entrants into the party fold including Corporator Rajbagh area Shaheen ji. The new entrants expressed their hope in Er Aijaz’s leadership and pledged their support to the young leader in making the BJP stronger in Lal Chowk constituency. People of Lasjan also vowed to strengthen the BJP in the area.

In her speech, Chairperson Waqf Board, Darakshan Andrabi said for the first time people of Kashmir are reaping the benefits of peace dividends and real governance. “People are feeling peace and are living a stress free life as governance is right at their door steps,” she said, adding that for the first time, transparency is prevailing everywhere and favoritism and nepotism has been wiped out forever.

BJP leader and former MLC Surinder Ambardar said BJP is fast emerging as the lone political party that follows the vision of PM Modiji and equal treatment is being to one all. “For the first time, all sections of society are feeling happy and satisfied as those who would raise hollow slogans are feeling isolated,” he said. BJP spokesman Abhijeet ji also spoke on the occasion and stated that people should strengthen the party to ensure permanent peace, development and transparency by all means. He thanked the new entrants and hoped that in the days ahead, more and more people will join the party.
