Labourer from Ramban battles for life in UAE, young generation from Jammu and Kashmir urged to be vigilant

Srinagar: A 22-year-old labourer namely Abdul Razak from Rambam is battling for life on ventilator bed in Al Qasima Hospital Sharjah UAE.

According to reports, Abdul Razak had fallen from 4 meters while working on site.He was sent to hospital and is currently in Al Qasima Hospital ICU Ventilator.

Some of the Kashmiri living in UAE who came to know about his condition some days back came forward as voluntaries and are trying to provide all kind of help required at this time.

After contacting his family, the people have forward to help him; it has come to fore that Abdul Razak has paid hefty amount of money to one Kashmiri Consultant agent who placed him in a company in Sharjah as labour with very less salary.

The company, they said, has not provided Abdul Razak with employment visas. “Our humble request to the concerned authorities is please take necessary action in this regard so that justices is delivered,and a strong message will go to the other consultants of the Kashmir which might help in future and save other people from such scams,” they said, adding, “Also, our humble request to UAE concerned authorities to make sure the particular company facilitate all the requirements and compensate Abdul Razak and his family as per the UAE law.”

Message to young generation

As this has become a routine practices from consultants in Kashmir that they taking huge amount of money from young boys and girls from different parts of the Kashmir and promising them with different jobs and when they reach to different countries they end up without food and shelter.

“Our request toyoung generation and other people please don’t pay any amount for the jobs in overseas as these are all scams. There is no company in world who will ask for the money for the job,” they said. In today’s time one gets job on his qualification not by giving money. “In case if you get the job before leaving verify your job and visa”. Every month Kashmiri living in UAE come across such case, they said.
