SPO Shot At, Injured In Anantnag

Srinagar, Aug 12: Suspected militants on Friday shot at and injured a Special Police Officer (SPO) at Kurkadal in Bijbhera area of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district, officials said.

Official sources said militants fired upon a SPO namely Ghulam Qadir inside Dara Shikoh Park KurKadal Bijbehra this afternoon.

He was immediately shifted to nearby hospital for treatment. Status of his condition was not immediately known.

Meanwhile whole area has been cordoned off to nab the attackers, they said
