 J&K Reports 547 Covid-19 Cases, No Death

Srinagar, Aug 10: Jammu and Kashmir reported 547 fresh covid-19 cases even as there was no death due to the virus during the last 24 hours, officials said on Wednesday.

They said that 70 cases were reported from Jammu division and 477 from Kashmir Valley, taking the overall tally to 471374. Among the cases, 172762 are from Jammu division and 298612 from Kashmir Valley.

Providing district wise details of the cases, they said, Jammu reported 38 cases, Udhampur 5, Rajouri 1, Doda 3, Kathua 2, Samba 5, Kishtwar 6, Poonch 2, Ramban 8, Reasi 0, Srinagar 125, Baramulla 171, Budgam 60, Pulwama 18, Kupwara 30, Anantnag 35, Bandipora 8, Ganderbal 22, Kulgam 7 and Shopian 1.

There was no death, either from Jammu or Kashmir Valley, during the time. So far 4776 people have succumbed to the virus and among them include 2346 from Jammu division and 2430 from the Valley.

Besides, they said, 766 Covid-19 patients recovered during the last 24 hours—221 from Jammu division and 545 from Kashmir Valley. There are now 4927 active cases— 984 in Jammu and 3943 in Kashmir.

The officials said there was no new confirmed case of mucormycosis (black fungus) reported today. So far 51 black fungus cases have been confirmed in J&K, the officials said. They also informed that 11417 doses of covid-19 vaccine were administered during the time in J&K.
