Srinagar, July 31: A Lashkar-e-Toiba militant was killed in an overnight gunfight with joint team of police and army in Binner area of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Sunday.

Police said identified the mutants as Irshad Ahmd Bhat of Pattan Baramulla. He was active since May this year. “one AK rifle, 2 magazines and 30 rounds  were recovered from site of encounter that had started last night after the joint team of Police and army moved towards the suspected spot and the hiding militants started firing on them, officials said.

The encounter comes few hours after a Jaish-e-Mohammad militant was claimed to have been killed in Wanigam area of Baramulla.
