Srinagar, July 8: Government on Friday cancelled recent recruitment of police sub-inspectors by J&K Service Selection Board and also a probe by CBI to bring culprits to justice.

“JKP Sub-Inspector recruitment has been cancelled & a CBI probe has been recommended into selection process,” Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha said in a tweet.

“Culprits will be brought to justice soon. It’s a first big step towards securing future of our youth & govt will soon decide future course of action for fresh recruitment.”

The announcement comes after an inquiry by a committee headed by Additional Chief Secretary, Home Department, R K Goyal into the allegations of fraud in the selection process.
