Srinagar, July 3: Jammu and Kashmir recorded 76 new covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours even as there was no death due to the virus during the time, officials said on Sunday.

They said that 46 cases were reported from Jammu division and 30 from Kashmir division, taking the overall tally to 455333.

Giving district wise details, Jammu reported 33 cases, Srinagar 28, Kathua 10, samba 2 while Rajouri, Baramulla and Budgam reported one case each. Among the total cases, 167213 are from Jammu division and 288120 from Kashmir.

There was no death due to the pathogen reported in the last 24 hours, they said. So far 4756 persons have succumbed to the virus—2331 in Jammu and 2425 in Kashmir.

Besides, they said, 59 Covid-19 patients recovered during the last 24 hours—40 from Jammu division and 19 from Kashmir Valley. So far 449999 people have recovered, leaving the active case tally at 578— 405 in Jammu and 173 in Kashmir.

The officials said there was no new confirmed case of mucormycosis (black fungus) reported today. So far 51 black fungus cases have been confirmed in J&K, the officials said. They also informed that 2874 doses of covid-19 vaccine were administered during the time in J&K.
