GANDERBAL: A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) trooper was injured after he shot himself with his service rifle in Gund area of Ganderbal district today.

 

Police sources said that a CRPF trooper (name withheld) from District Reasi posted at CRPF Headquarter Gund shot himself with his service rifle.

 

Soon after the incident, the injured trooper was rushed to SDH Kangan, from where he was later referred to SKIMS Soura for specialised treatment.

Police have taken cognisance of the incident.
