Kokernag Elderly Man Killed In Suspected Bear Attack

Anantnag, June 27: Body of an elderly man was found in Kokernag area of this south Kashmir district on Monday. Apparently, the man identified as Mohammad Akber Chouhan (6) son of Mohammad Hussain of Ahlen was attached by bear, officials said.
His body was brought to Sub District Hospital Kokernag and according to the officials there were injury marks suggesting that he was attacked by bear in the forest area of Phatan Ahlen area during intervening night of June 26 and 27. A police official aid that cognizance of the incident has been taken and further investigations are underway.
