J&K reports 7 new covid-19 case, no death

Srinagar, June 2: Jammu and Kashmir reported seven new covid-19 cases while there was no death due to the pathogen in the last 24 hours, officials said on Thursday.

They said that four of the cases were reported from Jammu, two from Srinagar and Kishtwar districts, taking the overall tally to 454262 —166482 in Jammu division and 287780 in Kashmir.

There was also no death due to the pathogen reported in the last 24 hours, they said. So far 4752 persons have succumbed to the virus—2328 in Jammu and 2424 in Kashmir.

Besides, they said, seven Covid-19 patients recovered during the last 24 hours—four from Jammu division and three from the Kashmir Valley. So far 449454 people have recovered, leaving the active case tally at 56— 46 in Jammu and 10 in Kashmir.

The officials said there was no new confirmed case of mucormycosis (black fungus) reported today. So far 51 black fungus cases have been confirmed in J&K, the officials said. They also informed that 6550 doses of covid-19 vaccine were administered during the time in J&K.
