J&K reports 6 new covid-19 cases, no death

Srinagar, May 18: Jammu and Kashmir reported six new covid-19 cases while there was no death due to the pathogen in the last 24 hours, officials said on Wednesday.
They said that the two cases were reported from Jammu, three from Srinagar and one from Kupwara district, taking the overall tally to 454159—166404 in Jammu and 287755 in Kashmir.
There was also no death due to the pathogen reported in the last 24 hours, they said. So far 4752 persons have succumbed to the virus—2328 in Jammu and 2424 in Kashmir.
Besides, they said, three Covid-19 patients recovered during the last 24 hours and include all three from Jammu division. So far 449354 people have recovered, leaving the active case tally at 53— 38 in Jammu and 15 in Kashmir.
The officials said there was no new confirmed case of mucormycosis (black fungus) reported today. So far 51 black fungus cases have been confirmed in J&K, the officials said. They also informed that 18353 doses of covid-19 vaccine were administered during the time in J&K.
