Srinagar, April 25: Four residential houses were damaged in a massive blaze in Brane Nishat area in outskirts of Srinagar on Monday.

They said the fire emanated from one residential house around 5:30 p.m. and engulfed at least three other houses in the vicinity.

An official of the fire and emergency department here said that fire tenders from five stations have been rushed to the area to douse off the flames in the congested locality. While local reports said that one person has suffered injuries, official confirmation was awaited. Immediately cause of the fire was also not known even as one of the structures involved in the blaze has suffered substantial damage while attic portion is involved in three others .
