Srinagar: A driver was killed in an accident on Wednesday morning in Jammu’s Ramban district when a truck he was driving rolled down into a deep gorge near Khooni Nala.

Quoting an official news report said that at around 5:00 hours today, a truck bearing number PB10HL/3434, which was heading towards Srinagar with electric poles, plunged into a deep gorge near Khooni Nala, resulting in the death of a driver identified as Kalvinder Singh, a resident of Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh.

The cause behind the accident was preliminarily ascertained as over-speeding and the resultant loss of control over the vehicle.

A case under FIR no. 44/2022 U/S 279/304-A IPC was registered at Police Station Ramsoo, the official added.
