Srinagar: An Assistant Sub-inspector of Border Security Forces attempted suicide by firing two bullets on his chest, official sources said this morning.

They said that ASI Shiva Ji Yadav of 104 Batallion, posted at Chand One post in sub-sector Gohallan in Uri made the bid using his service rifle.

The officer, they told, was evacuated to 92 Base Hospital Srinagar in critical conditions.
