Wife, paramour arrested for chemist’s murder in Mendhar Poonch

Poonch, Nov 9: Police have solved the “sensational” case of murder of a 38-year-old chemist in Dhargloon area of Mendhar Poonch with the arrest of his wife and her paramour besides her brother.

On October 2, Police had recovered body of the chemist Tahir Mehmood (38) son of late Mohammad Sadeeq Gakhar (retired ZEO) under suspicious circumstances in his room.

Subsequently, police launched inquest proceedings under section 174 Cr.PC in police Station.

On the basis of material as well as technical evidence, SDPO Mendhar Z A Jafary said that the inquest proceedings were converted into case FIR NO 115/2021 under section IPC’s 306 (Abetment of suicide)  111(punishment for thug) and 34 (acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention) against Mst. Zaib Ul-Nisa wife of Tahir Mehmood,  Mohammad Iqbal (paramour) and Razwan Ahmed (brother-in-law of the deceased), all resident of Dhargloon Tehsil Mendhar and accused have been arrested.

“The extra-marital affair of his wife become cause for Tahir Mehmood’s murder,” he said, “Further investigation is going on and developments in the case will be shared,” he said.

This is the third murder case solved in last three months by the police in Mendhar.  Earlier police solved Shahnaz Akhter and Shariq murder cases.
