Srinagar, Oct 16: Jammu and Kashmir reported 82 new covid-19 cases even as there was no death due to the virus during the last 24 hours, officials said on Saturday.

15 among these cases were reported from Jammu division and 67 from Kashmir Valley, taking the total count to 330967.  There was no death due to the virus. So far 4426—2174 in Jammu and 2252 in Kashmir—have died due to the pathogen, they said.

Giving district wise details, the officials said that Srinagar reported 37 cases, Baramulla 12, Budgam 7, Pulwama 0, Kupwara 5, Anantnag 0, Bandipora 5, Ganderbal 1, Kulgam 0, Shopian 0, Jammu 6, Udhampur 1, Rajouri 0, Doda 2, Kathua 0, Samba 0, Kishtwar 0, Poonch 5, Ramban 0 and Reasi .

A number of the cases were confirmed at the CD hospital’s diagnostic laboratory and include male (35) (NA) from Bandipora, male (49) (NA) from Nowshera, female (18) (NA) from Nowshera, male (49) (NA) from Hawal, male (45) (NA) from Lalbazar, female (75) (NA) from Awantabhawan, male (39) (NA) from Soura Sgr, male (43) (NA) from Shivpora Sgr, female (26) (NA) from Rajbagh, female (35) (NA) from Khanqah, male (42) (NA) from Chanpora, female (60) (NA) from Chanpora, male (45) (NA) from Chanpora, male (58) (NA) from Chanpora, male (75) (NA) from Shalimar, male (47) (NA) from Buchpora and male (30) (NA) from Sopore.

Moreover, the officials said 122 more patients have recovered—50 from Jammu Division and 72 from Kashmir. So far 325686 patients have recovered, leaving active case tally at 855 —159 in Jammu and 696 in Kashmir.

They said there was no fresh confirmed case of mucormycosis (black fungus) reported today. So far 48 black fungus cases have been confirmed in J&K, the officials said.

The government also informed that 84968 doses of covid-19 vaccine were administered during the time in J&K.
