75 Fresh Covid-19 Cases Reported In J&K, 16 Districts Achieve 100% First Dose Vaccine Coverage

Srinagar, Oct 13: Jammu and Kashmir registered 75 new covid-19 cases even as there was no death due to the virus in the last 24 hours, officials said on Wednesday.

Among the fresh cases, 15 were reported from Jammu Division and 60 from Kashmir, taking the overall tally to 330741.

There was no death due to the virus. So far 4426—2174 in Jammu and 2252 in Kashmir—have died due to the pathogen, they said.

Giving district wise details, the officials told GNS that Srinagar reported 37 cases, Baramulla 8, Budgam 5, Pulwama 4, Kupwara 3, Anantnag 2, Bandipora 1, Ganderbal 0, Kulgam 0, Shopian 0, Jammu 3, Udhampur 1, Rajouri 1, Doda 5, Kathua 0, Samba 1, Kishtwar 0, Poonch 4, Ramban 0 and Reasi 0.

A number of these cases were confirmed at CD hospital’s diagnostic laboratory and include include male (80) from Chadoora, male (57) from Rawalpora Srg, female (80) from Lal Bazar, male (55) from Botshah Mohalla, female (62) from Hawal, male (23) from Alamgiri Bazar, male (17) from Soura, male (63) from Malbagh, male (69) from Nigeen, male (56) from Tailbal, female (NA) from Buchpora Srg, two males (64, 55) from Lal Bazar, male (79) from Wahabpora, female (60) from Hawal, female (47) from Nai Sadak, female (40) from Makhdoom Sahib, female (40) from Babdemb and male (7) from Budgam.

Moreover, the officials said that 122 more patients have recovered—44 from Jammu Division and 78 from Kashmir. So far 325369 patients have recovered, leaving active case tally at 946 —218 in Jammu and 728 in Kashmir.

They said there was no fresh confirmed case of mucormycosis (black fungus) reported today. So far 47 black fungus cases have been confirmed in J&K, the officials said.

The government also informed that 96,550 doses of covid-19 vaccine were administered during the time in J&K. It informed that 16 Districts— Srinagar, Baramulla, Kathua, Jammu, Rajouri, Poonch, Ramban, Doda, Samba, Anantnag, Kulgam, Shopian, Pulwama, Budgam, Bandipora and Ganderbal have achieved 100% first dose vaccine coverage.
