Srinagar: Chairperson of Waqf Development Committee of Union Ministry of Minority Affairs Dr Darakhshan Andrabi today inaugurated blood donation Camp organized by Insaniyat NGO in collaboration with Government Medical College Srinagar at the premises of Red Cross Society at Srinagar in presence of SHO Kothibagh Mudasir Nazir & Social activists Kulsuma Jan & Mohammad Rayess Peerzada where scores of people donated blood for the needy. Speaking on the occasion Dr Andrabi said that Humanity teaches us to save other’s lives but there are many misled indoctrinated people around who believe in spilling the blood of innocents on the streets. Hailing the efforts of Insaniyat-team, Dr Andrabi said that spirit of service to humanity of our people has helped us in coping up with the Pandemic and our volunteers, medical staff and other allied services did a marvelous job. This camp was organized as a part of National volunteers Blood Donation Fortnight. Later Dr Andrabi visited the family of Satinder Kour & Makhan Lal Bindroo and expressed her condolences to the family members of both the martyrs. She assured the family members of both the martyrs that the killers and their ideological basis will be disseminated soon. Speaking to the media Dr Darakhshan Andrabi said that we cannot allow radicals to repeat 1990 again. “Both Bindroo sahib and Satinder Kour were financially helping Muslim families since years and their target killings are shameful. More disgusting and criminal is the silence of so-called civil society and other responsible religious bodies of Kashmir. I assure you all that come-what-may government will eliminate each & every killer and destroy this hate module soon,” said Dr Darakhshan Andrabi. She said that Muslims around the world have started the month-long celebrations of Rabiul-Awal (the birth month of the Prophet of Peace) & here are some indoctrinated people killing minorities in the name of religion. “We all need to raise clear voices against this inhuman day to day killing chain at social levels, otherwise we will be remembered as silent supporters of this barbarism. Government will be doing everything to safeguard minorities and in no case ploys for re-migration of minorities will be allowed,” assured Dr Andrabi. She appealed to minority community members to take care and don’t migrate out of the valley due to fear. “We together have to defeat the divisive forces once and for all. We are in the fight against hate and communal division and our unity will defeat evil,” said Dr Andrabi.
