261 Fresh Covid-19 Cases, 1 Death Reported In Jammu and Kashmir

Srinagar, Jul 9: Jammu and Kashmir reported 261 new covid-19 cases while one person succumbed to the virus in the last 24 hours, officials said on Friday.

They said 115 of the fresh cases were reported from Jammu Division and 146 from Kashmir Valley, taking the total count to 318284.

Regarding the fatality, they said, it was reported from Kashmir Valley, taking the fatality count in J&K to 4354.

Providing the district-wide details, they said that Srinagar reported 59 cases, Baramulla 14, Budgam 10, Pulwama 4, Kupwara 11, Anantnag 12, Bandipora 5, Ganderbal 14, Kulgam 15, Shopian 2, Jammu 26, Udhampur 2, Rajouri 6, Doda 34, Kathua 2, Samba 2, Kishtwar 9, Poonch 8, Ramban 10 and Reasi 16.

Moreover, they said, 304 more COVID-19 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours—115 from Jammu Division and 189 from Kashmir.  So far 310630 patients have recovered, leaving active cases at 3300—1491 in Jammu and 1809 in Kashmir, they said.

There was no new confirmed case of mucormycosis (black fungus) reported today and thus the cumulative number of confirmed cases remained 31 in J&K.
