Srinagar, June 25: One militant has been killed in an ongoing gunfight at Hajipora area of South Kashmir’s Shopian district on Friday.

Reports said that a joint team of Police and army’s 34RR launched a cordon and search operation in Hajipora following specific information about the presence of the militants.

As the joint team approached the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon at them, triggering off a gunfight. “One militant has been killed in an ongoing encounter, operation is in progress,” police said in a tweet.
