Jammu, May 31: A man killed his two minor sons before shooting himself dead in Doda district on Monday evening, officials said.

They said that one Suneet Kumar took his 12 bore rifle and shot dead his minor sons—Chander Kanth (17) and Kamal Kanth (15), both students—at  Upper Gallo area of Tehsil Kahara of District Doda.

A police officer said that Suneet Kumar along with his family was putting up in his in-laws house at the time of incident. A police party was heading towards the spot. It was not immediately known as to why Kumar killed two sons and himself.  A police officer said that Kumar taking the step in inebriated condition cannot be ruled out. “Investigations are underway,” he added.
