Shab-e-Qadr holiday to be observed on Friday instead of Thursday: Govt

Srinagar, April 29: Government on Thursday ordered that the holiday on account of “Shab-i-Qadr” shall now observed May 10 (Monday) instead of May 9.

“In partial modification of Order No. 1159-JK(GAD) of 2020 dated 24.12.2020 and No. 1160-JK(GAD) of 2020 dated 24.12.2020, it is hereby ordered that the holiday on Government account of ‘Shab-i-Qadr” shall now observed 10th May, 2021 (Monday) instead of 9th May, 2021 (Sunday),” reads an order issued here.
