Move employees to get Rs 25000 Travel Allowance

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir administration on Sunday announced that it will pay ‘move employees’ a travel allowance of  Rs 25000, regardless they move to Srinagar or work from Jammu.

The announcement was made by the Lt Governor Manoj Sinha and said that the decision has been made due to prevailing Covid-19 situation.

Sinha tweeted: “Approved Special Move TA @ Rs 25,000 per employee to be paid to all move employees, irrespective of whether they move to Srinagar or work from Jammu. This is a special dispensation in view of the COVID-19 situation.”

Employees have to shift from Srinagar to Jammu and vice versa as secretariat shifts from summer capital to winter capital and vice versa. The darbar move this year has been delayed.
