Detected, destroyed IED in Pulwama says Police

Srinagar: Police on Friday claimed to have averted a major tragedy by timely detection of an Improvised Explosive Device, IED, in Pulwama.

Police later called in Bomb Disposal Squad and the explosives were destroyed timely. The explosives were found at the Circle Road in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

Taking to twitter, police said:  “Improvised Explosive Device (IED) detected at Circle Road, Pulwama. Destroyed by Bomb Disposal Squad. A major incident averted. Further details shall follow.”
