Div Com conducts late night surprise inspection at Covid Hospital Gandhi Nagar

JAMMU, APRIL 06: Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Dr Raghav Langer today conducted late night surprise inspection at designated Covid Hospital Gandhi Nagar and took stock of facilities being provided to the Covid positive patients there.

He was accompanied by Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Anshul Garg and other concerned officers.

The Div Com along with DC took a round of wards and interacted with Covid-19 Positive patients, Doctors and Para Medical Staff on duty. He inquired from the patients about provision of medicines, meals and other medical facilities being provided to them.

The Doctors on duty apprised the Div Com about the treatment being provided to the Positive patients. The Div Com expressed satisfaction over the treatment protocol being followed by the hospital management.

The Div Com instructed the Medical Superintendent to maintain cleanliness and hygienic conditions with standard patient care facilities for the patients.

The Deputy Commissioner apprised the Div Com that testing in Jammu district has been increased substantially in view of the spike in the Covid positive cases. He informed that over 6600 people were tested at Airport, Railway Station and during routine testing in the district in a day.

The Div Com underlined the need for regular review and audit of Covid facilities in view of the fresh surge in Covid positive cases.
