Srinagar, April 03: A gunfight broke out between militants and government forces in Choori ki Gali area of Mughal Road of Sadev forest in South Kashmir’s Shopian district on Saturday.

Reports said that a joint team of Police, Army and CRPF launched a cordon and search operation in Chooriki Gali.

As the joint team of forces encircled the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon them, triggering off a gunfight.

A senior police officer confirmed the exchange of firing between militants and the government forces.
