Srinagar, Dec 30: One unidentified militant was killed in an overnight gunfight in Hokarsar Lawaypora area of Central Kashmir’s Srinagar district.
Police said that while one militant was killed so far, his identity couldn’t be established as of now.
The operation, police said, was suspended due to darkness last night.
Earlier a joint team of Police, army’s 02 RR and CRPF launched a cordon and search operation in Hokarsar Lawapora.
As the joint team of forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon the forces, triggering off a gunfight.
