Srinagar, Sept 23: One unidentified militant was killed in an ongoing encounter with government forces in Maghama Tral in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district. Police in a tweet said that the operation is going on.
Earlier a joint team of Police and Army’s 42 RR launched a cordon-and-search-operation in Maghma Tral based on specific inputs about the presence of the militants.
As the joint team encircled the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon them, they said. The fire was retaliated by the joint team, triggering off an encounter, they added.
