Anantnag: An updated tentative seniority list of store keepers by Directorate of Food civil supplies and consumer affairs has date of birth and qualification of various employees in department altered.
Official Sources said that the department had updated tentative seniority list of storekeepers in year 2018 under endorsement no DCAPDK/Adm/B-X-305 dated 30-11-2018 in which the department changed the date of birth and qualification of employees. While higher qualification can be acquired as per rules, the change in date of birth in the seniority list has raised eye brows.
For example, as per 2001 seniority list of employees under endorsement no DFSK/Adm/B-x-106 Dated 1-10-2001, one employee Mohd Maqbool Malik has his date of birth mentioned as 1958 while in 2018 list, the department has mentioned his date of birth as 1963.
Also, as per an information obtained through RTI from the Directorate office there are 746 employees posted in the Directorate office who have not been transferred, some of them for decades, to any other place ever since they joined the department.
Recently Director FCS&CA Kashmir transferred some officials from Southern districts but the officials posted in the Directorate offices have not been touched.
When contacted, Director FCS&CA Kashmir Manzoor Ahmad said that he joined the department only few months back and will look into the records first.
“Whether it’s a clerical error that DOBs of some employees’ stands alerted in the list or has been done willingly will be looked into.”
Asked about the transfer in the directorate offices, he said the process has been started and it will take place in directorate office too. “It will take one or two weeks,” he added.
