SRINAGAR, SEPTEMBER 8: Secretary, Youth Services and Sports (YSS), Sarmad Hafeez, today visited Bakshi Stadium and inspected several ongoing development works being executed in there.
Project Manager NPCCL, Amit Pandita, briefed about the progress on works being executed by National Project Construction Corporation Limited (NPCCL).
Secretary stressed upon the executing agency to expedite work progress on the project in double shifts with addition to the existing manpower so that it gets completed within the stipulated time frame.
Secretary asked Executive Engineer of Sports Council to monitor the progress on daily basis to ensure timely completion of the works and submit weekly progress report in this regard. He directed the concerned officers to ensure that all the guidelines and SOPs regarding Covid-19 during the construction works are strictly adhered to by all.
The stadium, located in the centre of Srinagar city, is undergoing massive renovation being executed by the National Project Construction Corporation Limited with an estimated cost of Rs 40.85 crore.
Joint Director Youth Sports, Project Manager NPCC, Executive Engineer Sports Council, District Officer Youth Sports and other concerned officials were present on the occasion.
