JAMMU, AUGUST 26: The 173rd Board Meeting of Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board was held here under the Chairmanship of its Chairman, Khalid Jahangir today.
The meeting was attended by Mohammad Shafiq Chak, Pritam Lal Atri, Members of the Board, Musheer Ahmad Mirza Controller of Examination and Ranjeet Singh, Secretary of the Board.
Besides, Nazir Ahmad Khawaja, Ashiq Hussain Lily and Prof. Tasleema Peer, Members of the Board attended the meeting from Central Office Srinagar through Video Conferencing.
During the meeting threadbare discussions were held on various agenda items related to release of withheld recommendations of District Cadre, Divisional Cadre Jammu, Divisional Cadre Kashmir, State Cadre and PM Package (Migrants) for which deficiencies were completed by the candidates. Accordingly Board released 29 (twenty nine) withheld recommendations. It was also decided to re-examine / defer 12 (twelve) cases while candidature of 04 (four) candidates was rejected due to not possessing the requisite qualification / eligibility. The Board directed the concerned to forward the recommendation to the concerned departments without any delay, for further course of action.
Besides, some other agenda items were also taken up for discussion / consideration.
The Board also decided for installation of Video Conference Facility at both Central Offices at Jammu / Srinagar for the smooth conduct of official business to improve administrative efficiency and decision making, in view of the situation obtained due to COVID-19 pandemic.
