Srinagar, Aug 12: A paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) inspector was critically injured after he allegedly shot himself with his service rifle at Shergadi in Central Kashmir’s Srinagar district on Wednesday morning.
A police officer said that the CRPF inspector from 141 Battalion shot himself with his service rifle due to which he was grievously wounded.
Identifying him as inspector M. Damodar, the officer said that he was immediately shifted to SMHS Hospital for treatment. Asked about the reasons behind him taking such an extreme step, the officer said the investigations have been started in this regard.
