Srinagar, July 11: Army on Saturday said that two militants were killed in Handwara area of Kupwara as they were trying to infiltrate along the Line of control from the frontier district.
“Early morning today, the suspicious move was detected by own troops at Naugam sector, Handwara along the Line of Control,” said an army spokesman.
He said the army “swiftly launched an ambush, resulting in the killing of two militants.”
“Two AK-47 (rifles) and warlike stores (were) recovered,” he added.
