Srinagar: Competent authority on Friday accepted report by a high-level official panel regarding seniority dispute of a large number of Kashmir Administrative Service (KAS) officers.
“The Competent Authority has accepted the report of the Committee constituted vide government order no. 440-JK(GAD) of 2020 dated 01.04.2020,” reads an order issued by the government here.
Consequently, the government has ordered the committee to redraw the seniority of the members of J&K Administrative Service appointed between 1 January 2004 to 1 December 2008 based on the principles and findings laid down by the panel. The committee has been asked to submit the redrawn seniority list by June 5.
The administration had on April 1 constituted the committee to examine the seniority issue of the members of the J&K Administrative Service in a time-bound manner.
