Srinagar: Fourteen more persons tested positive for the novel coronavirus on Monday, taking the number of COVID-19 patients in Kashmir past 300-mark.
“14 new cases reported. All from Kashmir. Total number of cases now 368. Jammu-55 and Kashmir-313,” government spokesman Rohit Kansal tweeted.
With these cases, Bandipora now has 91 COVID-19 patients, highest in all districts, followed by Srinagar (79), Baramulla (44), Kupwara 33, Shopian (20), Ganderbal (14), Budgam (13), Anantnag (8) Kulgam (6) and three in Pulwama.
Five people have died due to the deadly infection in the J&K while 58—13 in Jammu and 43 in Kashmir divisions have recovered and discharged, leaving the active cases in Kashmir to 263 and 41 in Jammu.
