23 fresh cases take J&K’s Covid-19 tally past 200-mark

Srinagar: The number of the novel coronavirus cases rose to 207 in Jammu and Kashmir as 23 new cases were reported in the past 24 hours, officials said on Friday.
They said that among the fresh cases include 18 in Kashmir Valley and remaining in Jammu. The fresh cases exclude two cases which came positive on re-test.
Among the 18 cases in Kashmir Valley, sources said 10 are said to be from Kupwara (3) and Baramulla (7) districts of north Kashmir.
Regarding Jammu cases, they said, four are contacts of a 61-year-old woman who died on April 8 and are all residents of Udhampur district, the home town of the deceased woman who was cremated at Jammu yesterday in accordance with her wish.
With these fresh cases, 207 have tested positive for the dreaded disease so far in Jammu and Kashmir and include 170 in Kashmir .
