2 CRPF Troopers Killed In Fratricidal Firing In Dalgate Srinagar

Srinagar: Two paramilitary CRPF men were killed in a fratricidal firing in Dalgate area of Srinagar on Tuesday.
The incident took place inside water wing of CRPF at Dalgate troopers of 144 battalion fired upon each other at around 04:05 p.m. In this incident, both the men suffered critical injuries and were removed to nearby health facility by their colleagues who rushed to the spot after hearing the gunshots. However doctors declared them “brought dead”.
The police officer identified the slain troopers as Constable Siju and Constable Jala Vijay.
Meanwhile, Incharge Spokesman of CRPF, Neeraj Rathore also confirmed the death of the two CRPF men in the fratricidal incident.
The spokesman said that investigations have been initiated and details of the incident are being ascertained.
