Baramulla: The armies of India and Pakistan on Friday exchanged heavy gunfire along the Line of Control in Hajipeer sector of Uri in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

Reports said that both the armies exchanged small weapons initially. “Now heavy firing started in the area which has created panic in Churanda, Silikote, Tilawari, Sadpora and other villages living along LOC.”

A police officer also confirmed to INS that the fresh exchange of shelling in Uri Sector and said that no loss of life or injury was reported immediately.
