Pulwama: All eleven blocks of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district employees on Thursday went on a strike and held protests following a contractors misbehavior with Block Development officer Pulwama.

Employees of all blocks in district protested against the alleged assault.

They threatened to continue the strike untill the accused is brought to book and stern action is taken against him.

“Contractor’s from Pulwama abused and tried to assault me after I refuse to sign a letter which was not signed by DPO. They were trying to force me to sign it. This all happened in my chamber,” Block development officer Asif Iqbal told INS.

“I have already taken this issue with DC sahab and he will definitely take Action against them” he said
