Tral: Block Development Office employees in Tral on Thursday staged a protest demonstration against the assault on Block Development Officer Pulwama by a contractor.
The protesting employees raised slogans against the attackers who had assaulted BDO Pulwama, Aabid Ahmad, at his office.
“The contractor held the BDO by collar and bad mouthed,” they said.
Protesters urged Assistant Commissioner Development Pulwama to intervene in the matter and take strong action against the culprit.
They said that, “If action against the culprit is not taken, the whole block will go on strike from tomorrow onwards”.
The employees were protesting outside the Block Development Office in Uptown area of Tral.
