Srinagar: Authorities on Friday said that the Amarnath yatra has been suspended for the day due to to inclement weather along the Jammu-Srinagar highway.

“No pilgrim vehicle will be allowed to move towards the valley,” an official said.

They said that the yatra has been temporarily suspended because of bad weather and slippery road conditions and the pilgrimage will resume only after the weather improves.
