Baramulla: Body of a girl who had drowned yesterday in river Jhelum in Uri of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district has been retrieved from the water body.

She has been identified as Rubeena Bano (16) daughter of Anwar Shah resident of Dachi Uri. She slipped into Jehlum while grazing cattle.
In another search operation to retrieve body of a boy who drowned in Uri while taking bath are continuing.

“Searches for Manzoor Ahmad Dar of Jalsri Baramulla who had drowned on Sunday in Jehlum are continuing,” an official said.

Police officials told INS that Navy, Marcos commandos and locals are conducting the searches for the Manzoor.
